We are currently seeking talented Bakers for our back-of-house positions. These roles require weekend availability and a strong work ethic. As a baker with 85C Bakery Cafe, you will play an essential role in maintaining the standard of quality that customers expect. Your responsibilities will include decorating baked goods to the 85C standards, managing daily baking operations such as separating, filling, and baking ingredients, and maintaining a clean and healthy work environment that complies with health regulations. Expect to collaborate closely with store management and cross-train in multiple departments, including bread, cake, POS, and bar, to ensure a seamless operation across the cafe.

This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform consistent walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and various hand motions, as well as adaptability to working in varying temperatures from coolers and freezers. The position requires punctuality, adherence to company policies, and a willingness to develop skills and contribute to the overall success of the team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Previous experience in baking or food service preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform moderate lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various temperature conditions including coolers and freezers
  • Good communication skills in English
  • ServSafe certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Fast food or retail experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Acceptable verbal English communication skill
  • Excellent work ethic and teamwork concepts
  • Enforce Health Department regulations and be ServSafe certified
  • Weekend and holiday availability

Job Duties

  • Decorate quality 85C baked goods
  • Maintain a clean and healthy work environment
  • Perform daily operations including separating, filling and baking
  • Work together with store management team to deliver outstanding service
  • Cross train in each department including bread, cake, POS, bar
  • Provide sufficient breads and maintain quality to meet 85C standard
  • Be on time for all scheduled shifts and adhere to company policies and guidelines
