Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow bakery production charts and safety standards
- Basic food handling and sanitation knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and assist with heavier loads
- Capable of working in environments with temperature extremes such as freezers and ovens
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Minimum age of 18 years
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item's product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment
- Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations
- Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- Takes special orders and decorates special order or case products
- Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, and cakes
- Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety and product handling policies
- Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- Generates labels and price tickets
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and food surfaces
- Operates bakery equipment using proper safety methods
- Complies with company policies and performs other assigned duties
- Maintains regular and predictable full attendance
