Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns according to company guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in retail or bakery environments
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns according to company guidelines
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain work authorization

Job Duties

  • Create an environment that welcomes and appreciates customers to foster loyalty
  • Ensure at shelf product availability, freshness, quality, and value
  • Offer product samples and answer customer questions about bakery products
  • Fulfill customer requests and special orders accurately and promptly
  • Promote teamwork and communicate department and company information effectively
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
  • Inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
  • Prepare, package, label, and display bakery products for sale
  • Use production planning tools to produce fresh products and manage shrink
  • Ensure products meet temperature and food safety standards and maintain documentation
  • Comply with safety, sanitation, and productivity standards
  • Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
  • Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and safety risks
  • Enforce adherence to wage and hour policies
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure safety training completion
  • Ensure use of personal protective equipment and proper equipment maintenance
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
