As a Bakery Department Assistant, you will play an integral role in the daily functions of our bakery, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This position involves assisting with daily bakery operations such as preparing and presenting fresh products, ensuring product availability and freshness at all times, and providing exceptional customer service. You will engage with customers by answering questions, offering product samples, and assisting with special order requests, contributing directly to an enhanced customer experience.

The Bakery Department Assistant must ensure that safety standards are rigorously followed, hazardous assessments are visible and understood by all team members, and personal protective equipment is used appropriately. You will be responsible for monitoring recall procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions or violations to management in a timely manner. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally pull up to 250 lbs
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with various conditions
- Adherence to safety standards and use of personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter, and pricing gun
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to complete pre-employment drug testing and background check
