Job Qualifications

  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns

Job Duties

  • create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
  • deliver daily conditions that meet the companys expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • offer product samples, answer product questions and offer customers assistance in finding or suggesting products
  • ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information
  • maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report discrepancies
  • review and inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
  • prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
  • utilize production planning tools to accurately produce fresh products and reduce shrink
  • ensure food safety standards are met and document temperature logs
  • comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management
  • execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
  • report safety risks and illegal activity
  • ensure all associates have received necessary safety training
  • ensure equipment is maintained and safety hazards are reported and remediated
