The position of Assistant Manager at 85C Bakery Cafe is a pivotal role that combines leadership, operational oversight, and team development. The Assistant Manager is accountable for driving sales and profitability while mentoring a cohesive and high-performing team of management and staff. This role requires a strong ability to maintain clear and open lines of communication among staff and act as the liaison between store operations and corporate directives. As part of the store's leading management team, the Assistant Manager is entrusted with developing personnel, managing profit and loss statements, and upholding the highest standards of QSC (Quality, Service, and Cleanliness). Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two years of store management experience in bakery, restaurant, or fast-food
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to work full-time including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to perform moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting
- Ability to stand and walk continuously
- Ability to adapt to extreme temperatures in cooler and freezer environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- AA degree, hospitality management, or related field preferred
- Two years of store management experience in bakery, restaurant, or fast-food
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high self-confidence and ability to clearly communicate complex information
- In-depth understanding of 85°C products and future concepts
- Demonstrated success in training, operation development, and customer service
- Ability to maintain and foster an owner mentality
- Familiarity with daily store operations from opening to closing
- Experience managing high volume stores with direct supervision of ten or more employees
- Ability to work full-time including nights and weekend hours
Job Duties
- Meet and exceed sales and profitability objectives
- Support the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse pool of talents
- Deliver the highest level of customer service to each guest
- Maintain high standard of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Store associates will be expected to cross train in each department including bread, cake, POS, bar
- Monitor and meet the performance standard, including but not limited to 85°C policies, core values, and standard operating procedure
