Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in baking or food service preferred
- Ability to start work at 4am
- Availability to work weekends including Friday through Tuesday
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Adherence to food safety protocols
- Basic math skills for order accuracy
Job Qualifications
- Availability to start at 4am
- Availability for Friday through Tuesday schedule weekends are mandatory
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Previous experience in baking pastry arts or culinary fields is preferred experience in cake decorating or food production is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with shoppers
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment knife skills and food preparation methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants catering or retail bakeries is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Duties
- Package all orders ensuring quality and accuracy
- Package orders for shipping
- Generate production reports and share with departments in the bakery
- Assist customers with their bakery selections answer questions and provide product recommendations
- Answer phones and emails as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before display or sale
- Restock shelves and display cases with fresh products throughout the shift
- Assist guests with placing orders through the Point of Sale
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
