Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years' experience producing artisan breads and pastries
  • able to operate modern baking equipment
  • willingness to support other team members including new staff and apprentices
  • comfortable with manual heavy lifting up to 50lbs
  • full availability including weekends and weekdays
  • trade culinary school certificate or diploma
  • good understanding of laminating doughs and pastries or willingness to learn
  • valid food handler card

Job Duties

  • produce a range of in-house artisan breads and pastries
  • operate modern baking equipment such as dividers, retarder proofers, sheeters, and dough breakers
  • support other team members including new staff and apprentices in learning the craft
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace
  • comply with food safety and hygiene standards
  • manage manual heavy lifting when required
  • ensure high quality and consistency in baked goods
