Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or bakery preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally overhead
- Must be able to push or pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Job Qualifications
- Pleasant disposition, friendly, sociable, accommodating nature, enthusiastic
- Ability to make simple mathematical calculations
- Must be able to read and communicate using the English language
- Food service experience valued but not required
- Experience with basic equipment repair and maintenance
- Bakery or cake decorating experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor
- Inspect all doughnuts and remove any that are misshapen, too small, or otherwise imperfect
- Apply fillings, icings, and other toppings following Krispy Kreme product specifications
- Stock and rotate product on carts and display cases to ensure freshness and proper appearance
- Fulfill wholesale orders by packaging, dating, and safety sealing the product
- Replenish filling and icing hoppers
- Aid in retail area by boxing doughnuts, making coffee and performing general cleaning duties
- Bake assorted pastry items using a commercial oven
- Be familiar with operations of front of the house equipment including espresso machine, coffee equipment, commercial oven
- Work to minimize waste as much as possible
- Practice clean as you go techniques to maintain a clean work area
- Complete proper scheduling on a regular basis
- Regularly clean and perform preventive maintenance on doughnut-making equipment
- Demonstrate safety consciousness at all times and report incidents
- Assist in maintaining high level of store sanitation and cleanliness
- Report equipment failure or issues timely
- Consistently model store policies, standards, and practices
- Coach/train new employees in doughnut decorating
- Follow all Krispy Kreme standards for food safety and HACCP plans
- Perform other related duties as assigned
