Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid photo ID
- Experience in baking or food preparation preferred but not required
- Capable to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and produce finished product from a recipe
- Full knowledge to operate kitchen machinery and equipment
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions
- Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs
- Able to maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Make sure areas are well maintained and sanitary work spaces
- Bake morning pastries for dining hall
- Bake cookies and desserts for dining hall
- Follow rotating bakery menu to assure variety of items being created
- Make sure cooler and freezer area is organized and cleaned
- Make sure logs are completed daily
- Communicate with chef or lead cook regarding any needs or concerns
- Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift
- Make sure desserts are placed on display before opening
- Notify utility if any stations are empty of cups, plates, utensils or napkins
- During down time make sure tray rails are cleaned in serving area
- Other duties as assigned
- Job requires bending, stooping, reaching as well as lifting items up to 50 lbs
- Climbing and descending multiple flights of stairs while carrying heavy items
- High and cold temperatures, moisture and humidity
