Nothing Bundt Cakes Franklin-Cool Springs is a part of the larger Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise, a well-known bakery specializing in delicious, handcrafted bundt cakes in a variety of flavors and sizes. This bakery is committed to providing high-quality products made from scratch, featuring proprietary recipes that deliver unique taste and texture. The role available is for a part-time baker who will be instrumental in creating the bakery’s signature bundt cakes. The position offers baking hours generally from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays requiring availability as well. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in following precise recipes and production methods to ensure every cake meets company standards. Bakers at the Franklin-Cool Springs location are responsible for preparing ingredients, operating commercial-grade ovens and mixers, and maintaining strict quality control throughout the baking process.

In this position, the baker must attentively monitor baking times and temperatures, manage inventory levels of baking supplies, and assist the bakery manager in meal planning and production scheduling. The role also includes responsibilities such as packaging, labeling, proper storage, and rotating products in compliance with food safety standards. Maintaining meticulous baking and refrigeration logs is expected, underscoring the importance of accuracy and attention to detail at all stages.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where punctuality and consistent attendance are essential. Physical stamina is required to handle repetitive tasks, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in baking or foodservice preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
  • Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process
  • Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
  • Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan monitors inventory of baking supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required
  • Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
  • Cleans sanitizes and restocks the workstation and ensures all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
  • Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
  • Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
