The Baker position at Aramark is a vital role within the Food Services Team. As a baker, you will be involved in preparing and baking a wide variety of foods following standardized recipes and production guidelines, using top-of-the-line kitchen equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to experiment with different baking styles and flavors, igniting your culinary creativity while meeting the highest standards for food safety and quality. Focusing on health and safety, Aramark provides comprehensive training and production guidelines to ensure all employees work in a safe and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, and chopping, setting up your workstation with necessary supplies and equipment, and operating ovens, mixers, and other kitchen machinery with proficiency. Maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing workstations and utensils, adhering to stringent food safety procedures, and ensuring company asset security are integral parts of this role. Exceptional customer service skills and a positive demeanor towards customers, coworkers, and clients will be essential as you contribute to Aramark's mission of delivering remarkable service and quality. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling
  • ability to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull and walk or stand for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
  • operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
  • safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
