As a vital member of the Food Services Team, the baker will engage in creating a variety of baked goods by following standardized recipes and production guidelines. This role encourages creativity and skill development while working with top-of-the-line baking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers. The position prioritizes health and safety, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
- ability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
- food safety certification(s) required or willingness to obtain
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good physical condition to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- ability to use baking equipment and utensils safely
- good communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to adhere to company safety and sanitation policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- required to obtain food safety certification(s)
- demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
