As a Baker at Aramark, you will play an essential role in the preparation of a diverse range of baked goods, following standardized recipes and production guidelines to ensure quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. This position requires adherence to stringent food safety standards, proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and safety. The hourly pay range for this role is between $25.90 and $27.04, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair and competitive compensation. Bakers will be responsible for setting up their workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing ingredients accurately by measuring, weighing, mixing, and chopping, and operating kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, and mixers efficiently.
The role demands not only technical baking skills but also a strong focus on safety and cleanliness, including the proper use of utensils and thorough sanitization of work areas and tools. Maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service approach toward guests, coworkers, and clients is equally important. Bakers will also be responsible for following company safety policies, securing company assets, and performing additional duties as assigned by their managers. Physical demands in this role may include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms may be required to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a baker or in a similar role preferred
- knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations
- ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
- must obtain and present Washington State Food Worker Card
- basic math skills
- strong communication skills
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to obtain and present Washington State Food Worker Card
- demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc. food items
- operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
- safely utilize a variety of utensils including knives
- properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensure security of company assets
- perform other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
