The bakery team member is responsible for preparing ingredients by weighing, cutting, shredding, and arranging components needed to produce a wide variety of bakery goods.   • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months of related experience preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, schedules, and memos
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and team members
  • Comfortable communicating in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to work with American currency and weight measurements
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to solve routine problems involving a few concrete variables
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed
  • Ability and willingness to successfully complete required training programs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, crouch, twist, and turn throughout the shift
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds frequently and occasionally lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and prepare products safely
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms between 6 and 72 inches
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both close-range and louder production environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months of related experience preferred

  • Comfortable communicating in one-on-one and small group settings

  • Ability to work with units of American currency and weight measurements accurately
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to solve routine problems involving a few concrete variables
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed
  • Ability and willingness to successfully complete required training programs including New Hire Onboarding, Food Safety & Sanitation Training, and Product Knowledge Training

Job Duties

  • Prepare bakery ingredients through scaling, cutting, shredding, and other prep tasks
  • Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to TASTE standards
  • Bake, ice, decorate, cut, and package retail bakery items as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked Bakehouse environment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to support daily production goals
