Job Duties

  • Prepare, bake, and finish pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
  • Follow precise scaling, mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking procedures to ensure consistency
  • Maintain quality control of all products, including flavor, texture, and presentation
  • Execute production lists and assist with daily prep as assigned by the Lead Baker or General Manager
  • Label, date, and store ingredients and finished products to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards
  • Assist with setup, restocking, and breakdown of the bakery and cafe service areas
  • Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns promptly to the Lead Baker
  • Support cafe and lounge menu transitions by preparing assigned baked items for both day and evening service
  • Follow sanitation procedures for equipment, utensils, and workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety codes
  • Participate in shift huddles, menu tastings, and staff meetings as scheduled
  • Participate in zone training to understand and execute tasks within both bakery and cafe production zones
  • Collaborate with baristas, line cooks, and dishwashers to maintain smooth workflow between departments
  • Assist in onboarding or shadowing new bakery staff under the Lead Baker's direction
  • Uphold team standards for communication, punctuality, and professional conduct
  • Support seasonal and event-based production, including pop-ups, community dinners, and collaborations
  • Participate in deep-clean days and kitchen organization initiatives
  • Contribute ideas for menu improvement or efficiency enhancements when invited
  • Perform other duties reasonably within the scope of the role or as assigned to meet evolving business needs
