The open position at Leisure Care is for a Baker/Pastry Cook who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the culinary offerings of the community. The role involves planning, preparing, setting up, and producing a variety of high-quality baked goods ranging from breads, breakfast bakery items, cookies, pastries, desserts, and other specialty items. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough understanding of fundamental baking and pastry preparation techniques, ensuring error-free execution while meeting the company’s quality standards. Job Duties
- Plan and prepare quality bakery products including breads, breakfast baked goods, cookies, pastries and desserts
- Follow all basic baking and pastry techniques to ensure product consistency and quality
- Set up baking stations and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout shifts
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs with supervisors
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen and dining teams to meet resident preferences and dietary needs
- Maintain accurate records of production and any deviations or waste
