As a Baker at Tatte Bakery, you will play a vital role in upholding the bakery’s reputation for quality by preparing a diverse range of baked goods. This includes selecting and measuring ingredients accurately, shaping and preparing doughs in various departments such as pastry, bread, or Viennoiserie, and skillfully building composed desserts. Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state, and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, manipulate and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a high-volume bakery production, banquet production kitchen, restaurant kitchen, or similar environment
  • Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
  • Passion for cooking with a keen eye for freshness, quality and cleanliness
  • An appetite for learning and delicious pastries, cakes, and confections
  • Thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Take pride in what they do
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills a plus
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including at least one weekend shift per weekend

Job Duties

  • Identify and select ingredients to follow recipes
  • Scale given recipes to match production needs
  • Sheeting, shaping, and preparing doughs in a modern-manufacturing environment
  • Building composed desserts
  • Making housemade jams, fillings, mousses, etc.
  • Topping, finishing, and decorating desserts
  • Adhere to cleanliness and sanitation standards (FDA guidelines)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
