The Baker position at the Main Bakery/Pastry division of Paris Las Vegas is a vital role responsible for producing and presenting a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, pies, cookies, breads, and pastries. This role involves working on specific stations that focus either on production or finishing tasks, with flexibility to support both as needed. The Baker ensures all items meet the precise recipe standards and are prepared according to required quality specifications. Duties include combining ingredients for cakes, brownies, and breads, as well as frosting, decorating, and garnishing cakes and service trays to guarantee appealing presentation.
This role demands a skilled professional with a minimum of one year’s experience as a scratch baker, possessing a thorough understanding of measurement, ingredient handling, and pastry equipment operation. Bakers must be adept at maintaining clean and compliant workstations in accordance with state and local health department regulations. Furthermore, the Baker collaborates closely with pastry chefs to assist with special functions and project preparations, reinforcing the bakery’s commitment to excellence and creativity.
Candidates for this role are expected to exhibit strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, maintain a neat appearance with excellent personal hygiene, and be able to work on their feet for extended periods. The position requires possession of a Nevada Health Card and candidates must be at least 21 years of age. Job Duties
- prepare all items according to recipe standards
- combine all standard mixes and ingredients for cakes and brownies as assigned to production
- frost and decorate all cakes as assigned to decorator's station
- garnish all service trays and cakes for proper presentation as assigned to decorator's station
- combine all mixes and ingredients for various breads baked in the shop when assigned to the bread station
- bake items for specified times and portion for servings
- work and maintain workstation in compliance with standards set by state and local health department codes
