The Baker role at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is designed for an experienced professional who takes pride in preparing and baking high-quality breads, rolls, breakfast pastries, and desserts that meet Hilton’s exacting standards. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of relevant baking experience, particularly working with quick breads, starters, laminated doughs, and enriched doughs. Previous experience in a high-volume bakery or hotel setting is preferred, ensuring the ability to perform efficiently under the demands of a busy hospitality environment. Bakers must possess working knowledge of bakery equipment such as large-scale mixers, proofers, scales, and sheeters, and be capable of accurately reading and following written recipes to ensure product consistency. This role requires an individual who is meticulous about quality, waste reduction, and proper storage and handling of baked goods, including adherence to food safety protocols such as HACCP monitoring.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of baking experience in a related field
- Ability to work shifts starting between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Physical ability to perform bakery duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a baker working with quick breads, starters, laminated doughs, enriched doughs, and bread
- Previous experience mixing dough, scaling product, lamination, shaping, proofing, and baking
- Experience in a high-volume bakery
- Working knowledge of baking equipment including large-scale mixers, proofers, scales, and sheeters
- Ability to read and follow written recipes
- Open availability including early morning shifts and willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Previous hotel bakery experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake breads, rolls, breakfast pastries, and desserts according to standard recipes
- Maintain adequate supply of prepared products and ensure proper storage and refrigeration
- Minimize spoilage and waste by ordering correct quantities and rotating products
- Perform prep work for cakes, pies, mousses, plated desserts, and doughs
- Store food products in walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas following food safety standards
- Conduct routine cleaning tasks using hotel-approved cleaning products
- Monitor temperatures in accordance with HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation standards
