The Baker will have hands-on responsibility for preparing and baking a diverse range of breads, pastries, and other baked delicacies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a baking or culinary role preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods of time
  • physical ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other ingredients
  • ability to work in a hot kitchen environment
  • willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
  • mix, measure, and prepare dough, as well as shape and bake the final products
  • follow established recipes and instructions to ensure consistency in products
  • ensure that baked goods are visually appealing and meet quality standards
  • maintain a clean and safe work environment, and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • monitor and adjust oven temperatures and baking times as needed
  • keep accurate records of ingredients, production schedules, and finished products
  • communicate any issues or complaints to management
  • keep up with new baking trends and techniques
