The full-time Baker position at ESS Support Services is a critical role within our culinary team located at the ESS Support Services Mining Camps at 201 Post Road, Anchorage, AK. This role offers a competitive pay range of $20.00 to $23.00 per hour and requires immediate hiring, signaling the importance and urgency of the position. Bakers at ESS are responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to specific recipes and production schedules. Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following production standards
  • assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • handle food items safely and comply with safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • keep display equipment clean
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
  • report relevant customer concerns to supervisors
  • keep up with peak production and service efficiently
  • follow sanitation and safety principles according to corporate and OSHA standards
  • complete shift work timely and thoroughly
  • perform other duties as assigned
