Job Requirements
- Previous fine dining, heavy production and baking experience required
- ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- willingness to follow food safety and sanitation policies
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- must be able to perform physical tasks related to baking and kitchen maintenance
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work area
Job Qualifications
- Previous fine dining experience
- prior heavy production baking experience
- familiarity with baking recipes and production standards
- ability to use baking equipment properly
- customer service skills
- ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
- assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
- assist with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
- inform supervisor when supplies are low
- ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- handle food items appropriately with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
- clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris
- interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
- relay relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
- exhibit ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
- check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
- follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
- complete shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards
- perform other duties as assigned
