We are currently seeking to fill the position of Early Morning Baker at The Bakery, a full-time role crucial to the daily operations of our food service department. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about baking and dedicated to preserving the quality and presentation of baked goods. As an Early Morning Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked items including breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts. Your expertise in using icings, glazes, fillings, and other decorative techniques will be essential to enhance the appeal of our products. This role requires maintaining high cleanliness standards and efficiency during early morning shifts, primarily from Tuesday to Friday, 3:30 am to 10:30 am, and Saturdays from 4:00 am to 11:00 am, with Saturdays being a mandatory workday.

Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- 1-3 year of previous experience in a from scratch baking, pastry, or restaurant setting
- an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- experience with cake decoration techniques is beneficial
- experience in high-volume production environments
- familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters
- understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- a food handler's certificate/card is not required but recommended or must be obtained within a specified time frame
- ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods
- strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- proficient in reading and accurately following recipes
- flexibility, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- good planning and organizational skills
- strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- adaptability and decision-making abilities

Job Duties
- Decorate baked goods with glazes, icings, and toppings for an appealing presentation
- assess the quality of raw materials prior to baking to ensure high standards
- ensure proper storage and organization of baking utensils and equipment
- prepare bakery items according to customer requests, utilizing appropriate equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
