The Baker role at Aramark is a vital part of the Food Services Team, inviting individuals passionate about baking to bring their culinary dreams to life. Working in this dynamic role, you’ll get to experiment with different flavors and baking techniques, follow standardized recipes, and utilize top-of-the-line kitchen equipment to produce delicious baked goods. Your responsibilities include setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, operating ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained at all times.

Job Requirements

  • previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • basic math and counting skills
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
  • operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
  • safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
