Known for delivering top-notch commercial, industrial, and residential electrical services, Baker Electric provides expertise in various sectors including voice/data cabling, traffic signalization, and underground installations. The company’s longstanding commitment to excellence, quality craftsmanship, and employee development sets it apart as a trusted leader within the electrical contracting industry. Baker Electric has built its reputation on decades of consistent service, ensuring projects meet both functional and regulatory standards with focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The QA/QC Administrator and Scheduler position plays a vital role in upholding Baker Electric’s high-quality standards and smooth project execution. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations and located in Des Moines, Iowa, this full-time, non-exempt role is essential in managing project schedules, coordinating quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, and facilitating communication across teams. The individual in this role partners closely with project managers to develop and maintain updated project schedules using advanced project management software like Oracle Primavera P6, ensuring all timelines are accurately tracked and maintained.

The QA/QC Administrator and Scheduler supports the company’s commitment to construction excellence by meticulously handling QA/QC documentation, progress reporting, and compliance verification. Beyond scheduling tasks, this position ensures that documentation aligns with company standards and project requirements while coordinating efforts between project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to maintain schedule accuracy and adherence to quality benchmarks. Additionally, the person in this role assists in tracking project progress, generating status reports, and analyzing schedules for potential challenges or risk mitigation.

As a key contributor within the Baker Electric team, this role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently under tight deadlines. The position encourages cross-training with other project associates and project manager assistants to ensure seamless support across projects. The candidate will also be expected to escalate critical or sensitive issues to the Division Manager or Executive Team with proposed recommendations, demonstrating both proactive problem-solving and commitment to company policies and safety programs.

Baker Electric values employees who exhibit integrity, professionalism, strong communication skills, and an unwavering dedication to the company’s mission and values. Career growth opportunities exist within the company and through EMCOR Group’s extensive network, offering a stable and rewarding work environment. Baker Electric also prioritizes fostering an inclusive and unified workforce, attracting individuals who are motivated, talented, and focused on contributing to the company’s continued growth and success. The company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance, as well as paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave.
