As an integral member of Aramark's Food Services Team, the Baker role offers an exciting opportunity to bring passion for baking to life. The position involves preparing and baking a variety of food products following standardized recipes and production guidelines, using top-of-the-line equipment to produce delicious baked goods. Those who join this team will have the chance to experiment with different flavors and baking techniques while following safety and sanitation standards to ensure high-quality results. The Baker will be responsible for setting up their workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing ingredients through measuring, mixing, chopping, and weighing, and efficiently operating ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
The role emphasizes the importance of safety protocols, including food safety certification and adherence to Aramark’s safety policies related to proper food handling, sanitation, and storage. Bakers are also expected to maintain clean and sanitized work areas and utensils, store food safely, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. This position may have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms are typically required to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in baking or food preparation preferred
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
- Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
