Job Description

Paris Baguette is a renowned bakery and cafe brand known for its artisanal quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts. With a passion for blending traditional baking techniques with innovative flavors and presentation, Paris Baguette has gained a loyal following across the United States and internationally. The brand prides itself on creating a welcoming environment that feels like the heart of the community, offering expertly crafted treats that bring joy to customers every day. As part of a fast-expanding national brand, Paris Baguette in Thousand Oaks is gearing up for its grand opening in May 2026, aiming to become a staple in the local neighborhood by providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

This upcoming store is recruiting dedicated individuals to join the production team, particularly for Lead roles in baking and cake decorating. The position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in a comprehensive four-week Lead Training Program beginning in April 2026. During this program, selected candidates will master signature recipes, baking standards, and decorating techniques that define Paris Baguette’s unique offerings. This role is perfect for those with a passion for artisanal quality, a deep respect for food safety, and a desire to contribute to a joyful, team-oriented atmosphere.

Lead Bakers will be responsible for preparing and baking all breads, pastries, donuts, and desserts according to strict specifications and schedules. Duties include handling prep tasks such as scaling, shaping, topping, and finishing products, as well as operating ovens, dough conditioners, and fryers safely. They will also monitor bake times and temperatures to ensure consistency and top quality. Lead Cakers will focus on the decorative side of production, assembling and decorating cakes and desserts following recipe and brand visual standards. They will prepare creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch and execute elegant piping and whimsical designs that enhance customer celebrations. Managing daily production plans and maintaining an organized decorating station are also key responsibilities.

The ideal candidates will bring a minimum of one year’s experience in high-volume bakery production or cake decorating. Essential skills include familiarity with piping bags, whipped cream, recipe execution, and production timing. Candidates must have knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labeling practices, with a food handler card required (ServSafe preferred). Physical stamina is important due to the demands of standing for long shifts and lifting up to 30 pounds. Above all, applicants should demonstrate a team-first mindset and share Paris Baguette’s passion for artisanal baking and community values.

In return, Paris Baguette offers competitive hourly pay with flexible scheduling to accommodate work-life balance. Full-time team members are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Additional perks include free birthday cakes and discounted meals during shifts, making workdays a little sweeter. Career growth opportunities are abundant, with pathways to advance into Lead or Trainer roles within a rapidly expanding brand that values employee development and engagement. Paris Baguette is an equal opportunity employer, proudly embracing diversity and inclusion while baking and decorating joy fresh daily.
