With a deep commitment to quality and authenticity, Methodical sources, roasts, and selects exquisite coffees and teas, honoring the skilled farmers who cultivate these beverages and fostering a strong sense of community and connection among customers and staff. The company prides itself on delivering not only high-quality products but also world-class customer service complemented by meticulously crafted experiences that elevate the everyday coffee drinker’s routine. As a rapidly growing business located in Greenville, South Carolina, Methodical blends tradition with innovation to create an exceptional cafe environment focused on excellence and cultural appreciation.

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Baker to join our team at Methodical. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to crafting the finest cafe menu on the planet by creating an array of baked goods such as breads, laminated pastries, muffins, and cookies. The role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their culinary skills within a supportive and positive culture that values growth, creativity, and a healthy work environment. Bakers at Methodical are known for their exceptional attention to detail and precise execution, as baking demands perfection in following recipes and instructions. Moreover, the team values a great sense of humor, recognizing that a positive attitude contributes greatly to the workplace dynamic.

This is a full-time, onsite position located at 147 Welborn St, Greenville, SC 29601, requiring availability Monday through Sunday. Bakers will never be scheduled for evening shifts, making this a perfect role for those who prefer morning work hours. Working at Methodical means being part of a team-oriented environment where communicative, mindful, and attentive individuals thrive. The position requires handling both sharp objects and high heat safely, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to strict food safety standards as outlined by DHEC and ServSafe. This role is more than just baking — it is about contributing meaningfully to the customer experience by preparing delicious, beautifully crafted items while upholding the Methodical culture and commitment to excellence.

Team members in this role are individual contributors, accountable for their own performance and for working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals. They develop a deep understanding of their culinary tasks and continually refine their skills to meet Methodical’s high standards. Successful candidates are eager to learn, early risers who embrace the cafe culture and share an enthusiasm for food and coffee. They possess strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm, alert, and responsive in a busy environment. A passion for the craft, respect for food safety, and an interest in contributing to an outstanding community-focused cafe experience are key attributes we seek.
