Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Communicates with team members and adapts to business needs to work in other areas when required
- Prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment and following recipes and make-up instructions
- Wraps, labels, and stores bakery merchandise according to company policies and food safety standards
- Operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment ensuring compliance with sanitation and cold chain guidelines
- Uses hand-held digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and make real-time business decisions related to production and merchandise ordering
- Maintains work area cleanliness and ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and provides exceptional customer service
- Acts as an advocate for the department by modeling high quality service and products
- Adheres to company policies and ethics standards
- Completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and customers, and communicates progress and improvement opportunities
