Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in bakery or food preparation preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to operate and maintain bakery equipment
- strong multitasking and organizational skills
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to use digital tools and handheld technology effectively
- ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- commitment to teamwork and positive attitude
Job Duties
- collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and adapts to business needs including working in other areas
- prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs following recipes and baking equipment instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cold chain standards
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment
- uses handheld technology to manage production, ordering, training, and quality control
- maintains clean, neat, and member-ready work area
- assists members with purchasing decisions and answers their questions
- ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- eliminates waste and secures fragile merchandise
- models high quality service and product knowledge
- complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- completes work assignments efficiently while communicating progress
- adapts to changes and feedback positively
