Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution
- leverages digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience
- utilizes hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- maintains commitment to operational excellence by keeping work area clean and organized
- ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminates waste
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics
- completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating and communicating with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners
- adapts to and learns from change and feedback
