Job Qualifications

- prior experience in bakery or food service environments is an asset
- ability to operate baking equipment and follow detailed recipes
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- customer service experience is beneficial
- proficiency in using digital tools and handheld technology
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- provides exceptional customer service to members, answering their questions
- maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready bakery area
- utilizes handheld technology to support production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- eliminates waste and secures fragile merchandise
- values the member's experience and models high quality service and products
- complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers while adapting to change and feedback
