Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
able to stand for long periods and perform physical bakery tasks
capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers
willingness to follow all safety and food handling guidelines
commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
successfully complete all job-required training and assessments within prescribed timeframes

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in bakery or food service helpful but not required
ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately
strong communication and teamwork skills
customer service experience is advantageous
ability to operate bakery equipment
basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory
proficiency with digital tools and handheld technology preferred
understanding of food safety and sanitation best practices

Job Duties

Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team
prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
follow recipes and make-up instructions for bakery items
wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies
ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
operate, maintain, and sanitize baking equipment
provide exceptional customer service by assisting members and answering their questions
maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready bakery area
leverage handheld technology to make business decisions related to production and merchandise ordering
secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
eliminate waste and ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items
assist members with purchasing decisions
comply with company policies and procedures and uphold standards of ethics and integrity
adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback
contribute to a positive team environment by being an advocate for the department and club
