Currently, Meijer is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join their team at the Waukesha location. This role is integral to delivering a quality customer experience in the bakery department. The Bakery Clerk will be responsible for creating memorable "WOW" moments that positively impact customers, assisting with special orders, and providing knowledgeable product suggestions. The position requires adherence to strict food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the quality and safety of bakery products. Scheduled shifts for this role run from 3AM to 12PM, making it ideal for early risers who enjoy the bakery atmosphere.

The Bakery Clerk will engage directly with customers, utilize technology for task completion, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bakery area. Duties include baking morning pastries, emptying and cleaning donut cases, preparing and stocking bakery items on the sales floor, setting up for the next day’s operations, and addressing customer inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and twisting while handling products. A background in bakery, food service, or restaurant experience is considered a plus but not mandatory.
