The Baker role at Compass Group involves preparing a variety of baked goods such as breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to commercial recipes and production timetables. Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of baking experience in mass production
- ability to work full or part-time schedules
- availability for varying shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM or up to midnight
- ability to perform physical demands of baking work
- compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- willingness to work in educational food service environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
- assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
- complete production records including waste tracking and supply reporting
- maintain proper food presentation, quality, portion control and temperature
- uphold sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
- handle food items safely complying with all safety regulations
- clean equipment and workstations thoroughly
- interact with customers, resolve complaints and relay concerns to supervisors
- manage high production volume calmly and accurately during peak times
- ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
- comply with sanitation and OSHA safety standards
- complete assigned shift work promptly
- perform other duties as assigned
