The Baker position at Sodexo is based at Marquette University's bakery location, a full-time role offering a competitive hourly wage of $18.10. As a Baker at Sodexo, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, and pastries from scratch, adhering strictly to Sodexo's culinary standards and recipes. Precision is vital, as you will be measuring ingredients accurately, mixing doughs and batters either by hand or using mixers, shaping and cutting dough, and baking items to perfection. Maintaining optimal oven temperatures and monitoring baking times are essential tasks to ensure every product meets quality standards.

Your responsibilities extend to managing the bake shop environment by setting up and stocking the area, ensuring proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of bakery items, and keeping the workspace clean and organized. Physical demands of the role include the ability to walk or stand for long periods, frequent mobility, and handling moderate to heavy lifting up to 35 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
