The Bakery position at Sycuan Casino and Resort plays a vital role in supporting the guest experience by preparing high-quality baked goods for guest consumption. This role demands a skilled baker who adheres to established recipes and standards to produce food offerings that exceed guest expectations. The baker will be responsible for producing a wide variety of baked products, utilizing production sheets to measure, mix, bake, and decorate items accurately, ensuring consistency and quality. The role involves maintaining the efficient operation of the bakery by managing food product utilization, checking product freshness and temperature, rotating stock, and communicating standards clearly with bakery personnel. It also includes essential sanitation duties, such as maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following food safety standards for storage and cooling procedures.

In addition to daily baking duties, the bakery team member will support catering events both onsite and offsite by creating dessert trays, assisting with set-up, execution, and breakdown. This position is part of a collaborative team environment, requiring inter-shift communication and teamwork to ensure seamless bakery operations. Candidates with previous experience in a high-volume restaurant bakery setting, strong knowledge of food safety practices, and a passion for guest service will thrive in this role. Job Requirements

  • County of San Diego Food Handler Card
  • CA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification
  • 1-year baking experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • high school diploma, high school certificate of completion, or G.E.D.
  • guest service or hospitality experience
  • culinary degree or equivalent experience

Job Duties

  • Provides guests with baked goods by following recipes according to established standards and as projected on menus or catering request
