This particular opportunity is for the role of a Baker at the Saint Louis University location, working through Sodexo. The position is full-time with pay ranging from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour, offering varied shifts that may include different days and hours, with a preference for candidates who have open availability. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods including breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, and pastries from scratch following standardized recipes and production schedules. The baker will be responsible for accurately measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, shaping and cutting dough, regulating oven temperatures, and ensuring all products are baked and served at the correct quality and temperature standards.

Additional responsibilities include setting up and stocking the bake shop area, maintaining proper storage and rotation of products, and keeping the bakery clean and orderly. Ideal candidates will have keen attention to detail, be able to accommodate special requests, and ensure only high-quality items leave the kitchen. Physical requirements include the ability to walk or stand for extended periods, use hands and arms effectively, and lift weights as needed.
