The role will primarily involve early morning shifts starting at 4 a.m., catering to the preparation of fresh pastries and desserts daily. As a baker at Julian's Patisserie and Cafe, you will play an essential role in the heart of the bakery, responsible for the precise weighing and mixing of ingredients, mastering laminated doughs, and the expert baking of pastries. Attention to detail is crucial, not only in following recipes but also in the artistic glazing, icing, and decorating of baked goods that delight customers.

Beyond baking, this position requires a proactive approach to maintaining inventory, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation and equipment, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision. Since this is a tipped position, engaging customer service is highly valued, and the right candidate will need to be personable and customer-focused, contributing positively to the overall experience of guests. The base pay for this role starts at $18.00 per hour, with tips ranging from an additional $4 to $7 per hour, creating a competitive and rewarding pay scale between $22 and $25 per hour.
