As a Baker at East Madison Hospital, you will play a vital role in crafting a wide assortment of bakery products that contribute to the nourishment and satisfaction of patients, staff, and visitors. This full-time dayshift position involves baking various breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts by strictly adhering to established recipes and quality standards. Starting shifts vary between 5:00 am and 8:00 am from Monday through Friday, with hours subject to change based on departmental needs.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year food production and/or bakery experience or equivalent culinary training and experience
- Ability to safely operate commercial baking equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety guidelines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied shift start times between 5:00 am and 8:00 am Monday through Friday
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training preferred
- 1 year food production and/or bakery experience or equivalent culinary training and experience
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and quality standards to prepare, bake and package a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and desserts
- Safely and efficiently operate commercial baking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow safe food handling guidelines
- Assist in inventory management for baking supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of bakery items
- Monitor and adjust baking times and temperatures as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
