Job Description

Saint Arnold Brewing Company is Texas' oldest craft brewery, renowned for its dedication to quality and brewing innovation. As a pioneer in the craft beer industry since 1994, Saint Arnold has built a strong reputation for its delicious beers and warm, community-focused atmosphere. This Houston-based brewery combines a passion for craftsmanship with a commitment to sustainable practices and community involvement, making it a beloved institution among beer enthusiasts and locals alike.

The role offered is that of a skilled baker within the restaurant environment associated with Saint Arnold. This position is integral to creating the high-quality baked goods that complement the brewery's renowned beer offerings. Bakers will be responsible not only for the production of various breads and pastries but also for maintaining the standards and cleanliness that reflect the company’s brand. Employment in this role involves being part of a vibrant team that works closely to enhance the guest experience by delivering fresh, artisan-style breads and snacks that pair perfectly with craft beer.

This is a full-time role designed for someone passionate about baking and thriving in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The baker will prepare and bake doughs for pizzas, buns, pretzels, pita bread, and other baked goods, ensuring each item meets Saint Arnold’s exacting quality standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace in adherence to health and safety regulations, managing inventory to guarantee freshness, and collaborating effectively with team members. Applicants should expect to work on their feet for the entirety of their shifts, exemplifying endurance and commitment.

Beyond technical baking skills, this role requires a person who enjoys a community-oriented workplace where the love for craft beer is shared and celebrated. Bakers also act as promotional spokespersons for Saint Arnold, engaging with guests and embodying the spirit of the company. To be successful, one must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, patient, and capable of quick, creative thinking to cater to unique guest needs. This position demands a Texas Food Handler Permit prior to starting and upkeep of this certification throughout employment. Combining culinary expertise and a passion for beer culture, this baking role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a celebrated craft brewery’s dynamic hospitality team.
