The part-time Baker position at Augustana University offers an exciting opportunity to join a reputable company that prioritizes employee growth, well-being, and community impact. This role comes with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $23.44. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch, including breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, and pastries, following Sodexo’s culinary standards and recipes. Your role will ensure that every item meets Sodexo’s quality benchmarks in taste and appearance, contributing significantly to guest satisfaction.

This role requires flexibility with varying shifts and open availability preferred, making it a perfect fit for those who can adapt to different working hours and enjoy a dynamic work environment. You will engage in measuring ingredients accurately, mixing doughs and batters by hand or mixer, shaping and cutting dough, and baking items to perfection. Additionally, regulating oven temperatures, monitoring baking times, maintaining proper storage, rotation, and labeling, as well as keeping the bake shop clean and organized, will be part of your daily duties.

The Baker position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, use hands and arms effectively, and lift weights up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Attention to detail is crucial as you accommodate special requests and ensure that only high-quality products leave the kitchen.
