Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
minimum two years baking experience
knowledge of healthy and wellness cooking principles
Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain
ability to operate baking equipment
basic math skills
ability to use POS system
ability to work in a fast-paced culinary environment

Job Qualifications

Two years baking experience in full service bakery, restaurant, hotel, or store
experience in healthy and wellness cooking such as fat free, sugar free, low sodium
possession or willingness to obtain Food Handlers certification
basic working knowledge of baking and pastry products and production methods
ability to operate baking equipment
competency in basic mathematical calculations
ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system

Job Duties

Implement all elements of daily bakery and pastry production
provide high quality, cost-effective in-house products
complement menus and add value to dining services operations
operate all forms of baking equipment
perform basic mathematical calculations including recipe conversions, food cost and inventories
use Point of Sale (POS) system
maintain health and wellness cooking standards such as fat free, sugar free, and low sodium options
