Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years baking experience
  • knowledge of healthy and wellness cooking principles
  • Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to operate baking equipment
  • basic math skills
  • ability to use POS system
  • ability to work in a fast-paced culinary environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two years baking experience in full service bakery, restaurant, hotel, or store
  • experience in healthy and wellness cooking such as fat free, sugar free, low sodium
  • possession or willingness to obtain Food Handlers certification
  • basic working knowledge of baking and pastry products and production methods
  • ability to operate baking equipment
  • competency in basic mathematical calculations
  • ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system

Job Duties

  • Implement all elements of daily bakery and pastry production
  • provide high quality, cost-effective in-house products
  • complement menus and add value to dining services operations
  • operate all forms of baking equipment
  • perform basic mathematical calculations including recipe conversions, food cost and inventories
  • use Point of Sale (POS) system
  • maintain health and wellness cooking standards such as fat free, sugar free, and low sodium options
