Job Requirements

  • Previous bakery experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
  • Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work full-time 38 hours per week including Tuesday and Friday through Sunday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to interact positively with customers
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bakery experience preferred

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Customer service skills to interact positively with customers
  • Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately during peak periods
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
  • Ability to keep accurate production records
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and production standards
  • Follow the use of proper equipment
  • Assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • Inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Handle food items following safety regulations during preparation and service
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant concerns to supervisors
  • Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety, ensuring corporate and OSHA standards
  • Complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
