Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years or more experience at the bakery that makes bread from scratch
  • Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within the food industry, with specific experience in baking preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
  • Familiarity with various baking methods and pastry techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Excellent usage of culinary utensils for precise ingredient preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually learn and grow within the field
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Professional behavior including communication, punctuality, hospitality standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and guidance from the chef
  • Ensure all food preparation meets safety and quality standards by adhering to food safety regulations
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately using appropriate baking techniques
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including proper storage of ingredients
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing ones
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines in food handling and preparation
