Job Requirements

- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude to interact with customers
- have good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations while maintaining a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness and safety of bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work area
