Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- dependable and reliable work ethic
- good communication skills
- ability to interact with customers
- ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical demands up to 40 lbs
- adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- food handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- demonstrate dependable and reliable work ethic
- have good communication skills and the ability to take direction
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- maintain a food handlers permit
- be able to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and moving bakery items up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure that bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the bakery department
