Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over one year of experience as a baker preferred but not required
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions such as kneading dough and operating bakery machinery
  • availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with temperature variations
  • ability to wear required safety and dress code attire
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over one year of experience as a baker preferred but not required
  • ability to bake various goods following recipes and adjusting as necessary
  • knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • familiarity with Hispanic bakery products, ingredients, and recipes
  • ability to manage time efficiently to meet production schedules
  • good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • good vision to ensure quality and appearance of baked goods
  • ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
  • weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
  • operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
  • shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
  • monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
  • coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
  • assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
  • follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
