Each location offers a unique spin on classic cake recipes, delivering a variety of bundt cake flavors and sizes that appeal to a wide range of tastes. Known for their commitment to quality and community connection, Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries are dedicated to making every event memorable with their sweet treats and exceptional customer service.
At NbC, team members are not just employees; they are part of a growing family that values a Servant's Heart, the Spirit of a Champion, and Genuine Connections. Employees enjoy a supportive work environment where dedication, teamwork, and excellence are fostered. The company emphasizes employee development through ongoing training and opportunities for advancement, making it a great place to start or grow a career in the bakery industry.
The Assistant Baker role is a vital position within the NbC bakery, primarily supporting the Baker to produce cakes that meet the brand's high standards. This full-time, morning-shift position (5 AM - 1 PM) requires commitment to following proprietary recipes and production methods meticulously. The Assistant Baker works in a fast-paced setting, utilizing commercial-grade kitchen equipment to prepare and bake cakes efficiently while adhering to strict food safety and quality control standards.
Key responsibilities include preparing raw ingredients, operating mixers and ovens, monitoring the baking process, packaging and storing finished products correctly, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workspace. The Assistant Baker must be attentive to detail, able to perform repetitive physical tasks, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Work hours are from Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, with the morning baking shift starting earlier to ensure fresh products throughout the day.
Looking beyond the technical skills, NbC values employees who demonstrate the core company values. A Servant's Heart entails going above and beyond to support teammates and guests reliably and empathetically. The Spirit of a Champion reflects pride in work and ownership of responsibilities, driving every team member to adapt an enthusiastic and proactive approach. Genuine Connections highlight the importance of warm, respectful communication and relationship-building within the bakery team.
Compensation for this position ranges from $14.50 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting the bakery's commitment to offering competitive wages. Employees at franchised locations work under the franchise owner/operator and are encouraged to direct employment inquiries accordingly. As part of the team, assistants receive perks like company parties, health and dental insurance, employee discounts, paid time off, and training opportunities. These benefits contribute to a fulfilling career and a positive workplace culture, making Nothing Bundt Cakes an exciting and rewarding place to work.
